Random mission pictures

I post these on Ethan’s mission blog but I thought I would put some on the family one too.

They grow spiders pretty big in Colorado!!

Courtney likes to take pictures when Ethan calls.

Ethan finally got his package and his mountain bike swag!! Looking good!

Pictures from Red Feather. If you zoom the top of the pic you will see Ethan’s commentary.

Christmas came early

Courtney’s chrome book hasn’t been working very well. We decided to have Christmas in September and get her a new computer for college/high school.

Even put it in a Christmas bag and made her unwrap it. She is a happy girl now.

Speedster

It works!! When we went over to mow the lawn at Grandma and Grandpa’s house, we saw the speed sign. After mowing the lawn, we decided to try it out. Courtney ran and I videotaped. And it totally works!!

She ran it 4 times, I think. One time she had help from a car that was coming so it said she was going 20-something mph. Then 2 times she did it on her own and was at 11 or 13 mph, not bad. The last time is the video at the end with the truck that sped up at the last minute to help her get a high mph. It was hilarious!!

Pics of our Missionary

Here are some pictures of our awesome missionary. He is hilarious with his poses, crazy face, and unique tag lines (check the caption on the top of the sepia toned pics). Ethan loves Calvin and Hobbes growing up and I blame Calvin for Ethan’s crazy picture poses.

This is their apartment before their got their own.

The beautiful Colorado sky.

Check the tag line at the top about the explorer Ethan (you will have to zoom in to read it).

This is an example of his crazy smile he gives to be funny.

Oops

The company who does our school ID cards had a rough start to the year. I’m pretty sure I’m not Mr Ord. 🤣😂

Most of the faculty and staff had incorrect names on their ID cards. Luckily the company was awesome to acknowledge that it was their mistake and they quickly sent us new ones. I am now me. 👍🏻

Homecoming parade

The soccer team was in the Homecoming parade. It’s not a long parade (only about 4 blocks) so we almost missed it. But we got there right on time to see the girls go by on side by sides and 4 wheelers.

Courtney is in the back of the 4 wheeler.

I am glad they got to participate and it was fun to watch.

Spice Rack

Bryan made me a spice rack. A couple months ago we bought spice jars that had labels on top. Bryan came up with an amazing plan to make a rack so I would have more space in the pantry.  He did a great job.

Here it is empty.

Here it is all full.

I have room to expand too. And, yes, the spices are in alphabetical order. 😁

Smoky Skies

The fires in California have sent smoke to our area. You can’t see the Red Mountain at all and you can’t see very far in our backyard. It’s crazy to see the red sun but it makes for a beautiful sunset.

Service at the Food Bank

Our young women went to the Utah Food Bank to do service one week. I am so glad they were able to go and grateful to their leaders for taking them.

They had to wear masks (except Courtney, apparently) 🤣😂. Then they were taken for ice cream.

I am so glad Courtney has such a great young women group and great friends.
