When Courtney got home from Girls Camp, she did laundry and packed for Vortex Soccer Camp with Snow Canyon High School.
She had a great time playing soccer all day and playing at the mall at night.

The got up, ate breakfast, cleaned up, and were ready to come home. The leader who drove the car Courtney was in made them do a Chinese Firedrill! I wish I could have seen it. She was in the front of the line of cars in the caravan so everyone saw. Courtney laughed so hard when she was telling us about it.
They did a Faith Walk in the forest around Pine Valley. Instead of doing skits, they did lip syncs, so that was hilarious when we got the video. Courtney gave me permission to post it so you can see it.
I got to go back to the Temple! A friend and I got appointments at the Las Vegas Temple to do initatories. Since St. George Temple is closed, we are able to go to other temples because we don't have a temple district right now. So I made appointments for me in Las Vegas and appointments for Bryan and me in the Cedar City Temple. It wasn't too hard to make the reservations but they go quickly so you have to jump on it.
I was really surprised that the temple wasn't busier but they may have restricted numbers because of Covid, I don't know. But it was so nice to be back in the temple.Courtney didn't give me a lot of info about camp so I really just have a bunch of pictures. They didn't allow phones at camp so the leaders were amazing to take pictures and send them to the parents each night.
I know they had secret sisters, had a fireside with speakers, celebrated one of the girl's birthdays, and had fun together. They went on a hike and were assigned someone they didn't really know so they could get to know her. This was a great activity for the unity of the girls because, after being away from each other due to the pandemic, they needed to bond.
Courtney is on the left near the top:
During a heatwave, the girls went to Pine Valley for Girls Camp (actually, they called it a Super Activity because there is Stake Girls Camp in August but a lot of the girls in our Ward can't go in August so the Ward did their own activity).
Courtney helped plan camp so they had fannie packs and cool water bottles. They stayed in 2 cabins owned by the family of the YW president. The older girls stayed in one cabin and the younger girls stayed in another.
When they got to the cabins and got unloaded, they played games, made dinner, and had fun.

There is a really popular app that makes you into a cartoon character. I only had the app for an hour because it was such a time waster but I had fun while I had it. Bryan didn't look anything like himself so I'm not going to include his picture. And we decided that little kids look better than adults. Enjoy!
It was fun to see what we would look like as cartoons.
