Jerseys
For Red Ribbon Week the kids had a "sports jersey" day at school. So Bryan got out his old football jerseys and let the kids wear them. They had a blast!! They loved wearing Bryan's jerseys.
Courtney had a Pizazz Halloween party that night so we put black under her eyes and she used that as her costume.
Neighborhood Party
We had our neighborhood Halloween Party on the Monday before Halloween. The party isn't the same as it used to be. It was really windy so they moved it to the Stake Center. Ethan wasn't thrilled with the party so he dressed up as Indiana Jones and only stayed a little while. But Courtney had a lot of fun playing games and getting her face painting. She wore an old Canbage Patch Kid costume of mine that my mom made when I was in 4th grade. I thought she was very cute!!
I don't have any pictures of Ethan because he wasn't there long.
Honors Recital
Courtney was invited to play in an honors piano recital in Salt Lake City. She did well enough on her evaluation that she was one of the 66 students invited.
Courtney and I drove up together while the boys stayed home. We had a "girls day." We got to Salt Lake City early enough to get lunch and explore Temple Square.
When it was time to go to the recital, we loaded in the van and drove to the hotel where it was to be held. Courtney was first and they started right on time. She did a great job!!
We got dinner and drove home. Courtney's kids meal had a Shrek mask in it and she had a blast playing with that in the van.
Braces
Ethan had his wires changed. He had black and orange elastics put on, in honor of Halloween. They were pretty sore the next day.
Southwest Symphony
The elementary schools in Washington County were invited to Dixie State to a Southwest Symphony concert. Courtney wanted me to go along to help. It was a good concert but was a bit dry for the kids. In years past, the orchestra would play fun songs the kids would recognize. But this year it was more focused on teaching parts of music. The kids got pretty restless but it was fun to attend.
