Zits is my life

I have no idea why this photo is sideways because it is correct in the file I copied it from.  Oh well, just turn you head and you can see it.

I have decided that Zits is my favorite comic because it is my life right now and probably will be for a while.  This one is one of my pet peeves...when someone leaves only a swallow of juice, water, milk, whatever in the container and PUTS IT BACK in the fridge.  Why not just drink the swallow, clean out the container and take care of it?!?!  So I could relate to this one.

She can fit!

It's been getting cold enough that we had to drag out the duvets to keep us warm.  Ours is kept in a plastic cover so it doesn't get dusty over the summer.  I was putting the cover on and when I turned around I saw this:
Courtney is still small enough to fit, kind of, into the duvet's plastic cover.  She was laughing so hard at my face because I was very surprised she was in it.  What a hilarious girl!

Book Fine

Ethan came home from school the other day, walked into the kitchen, put a piece of paper down on the table, told me "I have a $20 book fine at the school library" and then promptly went to his money bank to get a $20 bill out to pay the fine.  He was so calm about it and I about had a heart attack!

I looked at the paper and it did indeed say that he owed $20.  I asked him what book it was and he said it was the book he had been using for a report he was writing.  I asked if he had returned it and he said "No, it's in my book bag."  After a minute I realized that they were fining him for the price of the book, not because it was late.  So we talked about it and he decided to go in, with the book, to the library to clear things up...but just in case, he was taking his $20 with him to pay the fine.

The next day he came home much happier and told me that we were right.  The librarian thought he had lost the book and so his fine was only a few cents.  He paid it and then spent some of the money buying brownies for all his friends to celebrate.  Crazy kid!

Crazy Ethan

I remember, with a lot of cringe-worthy memories, having to dissect frogs in junior high.  Ethan came home from school so excited because he was getting to dissect a frog....on the computer.  I didn't believe him until he brought it up online and showed me.  They have the frog all ready to go and then you can virtually do the dissection.  It was weird but smelled a lot better than what I went through.  Of course, with Ethan being a boy and all, he was disappointed not to be able to do it in real life, but that's the breaks of being born in the digital age and not the stone age. hahaha!

Sunday Morning View

This is my Sunday morning view when I am leaving our house to walk to Ward Council.  It is such a beautiful Red Mountain!

Cutie Juice?!

We had a bag of cuties and Ethan wanted some orange juice.  So he took the cuties and tried to make "Cutie Juice."  He realized how hard it is to make orange juice.  He didn't get too much juice for all his effort so he decided it wasn't worth it.  But he had fun while it lasted.

Golf Cake

I have a friend who orders a cake from me every once-in-a-while.  She called the other day needing a golf cake for a friend.  She brought me over a pink golf ball and told me she just wanted something that looked like grass but wasn't coconut.  This is what I came up with. (The photo isn't great, but you get the idea.)
