Game Night

This comic pretty much sums up Sunday afternoon game days with our family. As long as they're out participating we're happy.

Soccer Season

It is soccer season again! Practices started and Courtney was right in the thick of it. They had two practices last week and they had a scrimmage that day "won." They scrimmaged against a combined girls/boys team and after time was done one boy kicked a goal. So the boys all thought they had won. 

They have been running a lot of practice, and Courtney was happy with how well she's been running. They ran a really hilly course the other day and she was able to keep up. Go Galaxy!

Happy Early Birthday!

Courtney got an early birthday present of a violin. We have been renting her violin for three years, and were able to save up a bunch of money through the rental company. With that money, and money given to us from grandma Pack for Courtney's birthday, we were able to get her a brand new violin. The violin rental place not only gave us equity credit for all the time we have rented, but they then gave us an additional 30% off the remaining balance. So we got a great deal.. Sweet!!

Courtney came with me when I picked up the violin because I wanted to make sure it was one that she wanted. She was telling me that she wanted to keep the violin she had been renting because it matched the violin her best friend has. But the rental place didn't have a violin that looked the same as the one we were renting and, in the state of Utah, you can't buy the instrument you were renting. Some weird law that Brian is going to look into. So we had to buy a different violin and the finish on it was darker, and I was nervous buying it without having Courtney see it first. But it all worked out! She was super excited. Can you tell from the picture?

The violin was pretty out of tune, so we found a women in our ward to tune it for her. So now she can play it to her hearts content.

Girls Camp

There was a pic on the yw bulletin board for our Ward from Girls Camp. So I took a pic of it for Courtney.

Buster

Courtney was guinea pig sitting last week. Last time there were two, but this year there is only one. It was simple but the little guy ate a lot. Courtney had fun taking care of him.

Hiking Mt. Whitney

Grandpa Pack, Bryan and Ethan were going to hike Mt. Whitney! Grandpa came to our house Saturday afternoon, just in time to go to the dance camp show off, and then the boys packed their bags. It was fun to watch them get ready. Sunday we went to church but they left for Lone Pine, CA, after sacrament meeting. They got their permit and then Monday morning they were off.

They will have to tell all about it. But they had a great time.
