Taylor Swift Concert

Courtney and Hayley were so excited that they got Taylor Swift tickets.  It was quite the ordeal but they were some of the lucky ones who got them.  Hayley's parents drove them down to Vegas and watched a different concert while the girls went to Taylor Swift.

They had a blast.  They drove home after the concert so they were home really late but they had a great time.

Mini split installation

We needed something to keep the downstairs cool during the summer.  We tried it last year without and it was just too hot for the kids.  So we bought some Mr Cool DIY mini splits and paid a company to put them in for us.  It will be nice to have something to keep the kids cool and warm (depending on the season) when they are in their rooms.

At home

While Courtney and I were away, Ethan went to Ivins to keep Bryan company.  We didn't coordinate very well but the boys had a fun time with their men's weekend.

They mounted the mini splits in the downstairs bedrooms.

They went to the Crab Shack and ate seafood.

I think it was a win-win.

Spring Break

Courtney and I spent Spring Break in Pflugerville watching Andrew and Jessica's 2 cute boys.  Courtney had a blast playing with them, putting them down for naps and sleep, pulling them around on a blanket, going to the park, cuddling, tickling, and generally playing around with these cute guys. 

The boys got a lot of their favorite foods, which made it easier for them to like us.  We brought them cars to bribe them to like us. We took them to the park and Courtney spent a long time pushing Thomas on the swings.  Johnathan loved to cuddled with Courtney so she got to do that a lot. I think it was a very successful week and we had a blast with them. We were even treated to a lightning storm and a tornado watch.  What more could you ask for on Spring Break?!

When we got ready to leave, Courtney couldn't resist one more game with them.

We had a bit of a wait at the airport but it wasn't bad at all.  It was a fun adventure.

St. George Temple

The temple is looking closer and closer to being finished.  I cannot wait until they announce the dates for the open house and dedication.  It is looking so beautiful. (I did not take this picture.)

Southern Virginia University?

While we were at MSU checking out the college, Bryan had a thought that Courtney might like to attend Southern Virginia University.  I mentioned it to Courtney who, after looking at the weather, applied.  She went through the application process (interviews, transcript review, honor code recommendation, etc.) and was admitted.  But she had learned her lesson.  She doesn't want to say "yes" for sure until she visited campus and took a tour.  So we are now planning to visit SVU.

Snowing again

It is snowing again!

I have to document all the times it snows because it has been so crazy this year!
