Volunteering at the St George Temple Open House
Bryan and I were able to volunteer at the Open House for the St. George Temple. We had been there before for a tour ourselves so we were a little familiar with it. But it was great to be inside the Temple after so many years and just sit and help people get around.
We showed up early and Bryan was sent across the street to the Church to help over there. He stood in the walkway and helped people get across the street. He also told them that they couldn't bring bags into the Temple but he didn't have to be the enforcer, which was good
I was sent to the temple worker conference room where they showed us a video about volunteering and then I was assigned to be at the bottom of the stairs as people were leaving the Celestial Room, right next to the sealing rooms. I could look up at the ceiling in the hallway and see the side of the original temple through the skylights. It was really cool.
We were there early so it took about 45 minutes for people to get to me so I had time to sit in the chair, look at some beautiful paintings, and just enjoy being in the quiet. It was cool. The only unfortunate part was that my shirt was the same color as the chairs that were in that area. Many people commented on it and it got old. But that's ok.
When we finished our time volunteering, I found Bryan and we went home. I can't wait until the temple is dedicated.

West Rim Campout
Bryan is in charge of campouts for our young men. He decided to start his calling off with a campout and a hike of the West Rim in Zion. They camped at a church-owned site near Apple Valley then went into Zion for the hike. Some of the boys stayed overnight but didn't do the hike.
One of the YM leaders led the way on the hike and went really fast! It was a tough hike but they all did. Bryan was sore the next day along with one of the other leaders who went. I asked one of the young men how he felt at Church on Sunday and he said, "I've been better." haha! But they had a great time and Bryan can't wait for the next campout.

Goofy Courtney
I love getting pictures from Courtney because they are usually goofy ones. Here is a splattering of the latest ones.

Solar Eclipse
We had a solar eclipse and it was really cool. I didn't have a good camera to take photos but we did our best. We also had a group text going with Bryan's siblings where they posted pictures, so that's how I got a lot of them.

Temple Open House with Courtney
Courtney wanted to go to the temple open house so we found cheap plane tickets and flew her home. It was good to see her again. She flew in on Saturday morning, hung out with us over the weekend, and then we took her to the open house and then to the airport on Monday. It was a quick trip for her but I'm glad she got to go to the open house. Grandma and Grandpa Pack were in town too so they went with us to the open house.
