Bryan had a pretty laid back birthday. It was on a Sunday so we didn't go out or anything but he got some good food.
We made him crepes for breakfast with peach and strawberry filling.
After Church, I made him a peach pie instead of a cake and we made his favorite birthday dinner. We had grilled marinated chicken thigh, wild rice, salad and peach pie for dessert.
The kids are a bit weird when Bryan blows out his candle. haha

The Tie
Ethan has been working on tying his own tie for Church. He makes a go of it and then Bryan fixes it. On this particular Sunday Ethan tried and the knot is perfect. Too bad he didn't get the length right. We had a good laugh and he gave me permission to post this photo.
Last Soccer Game
Courtney had her last soccer game of the season in November. It was a strange season because we had about 3 weeks in the middle where we didn't play. The girls were having a hard time focusing at practices so Bryan quit doing them about halfway through the season. But they had a good team and had fun. They would have done better had they been able to focus but he wanted them to have fun....which they did.
Birthday Party UpDo
Courtney was invited to McKaye Haws' birthday party at a salon in St. George. We got her there a little bit late, because she had something prior to the party, but she was in time to have her hair done in a beautiful updo and have her nails painted. They had a great time and she was so happy to be primped for the day!
Anniversary
On November 7th, we celebrated our 15th year anniversary. Bryan bought me a beautiful bouquet of roses! I have a photo somewhere of all of them, but here is one of them! It was great!
He also made me dinner and we had a great evening.
I am grateful to be married to such a great guy!!

Storytelling Competition
Courtney participated in the storytelling competition at the elementary school. She did a story she already knew really well so it was fun for her to put actions and change her voice to make it more fun.
Halloween
Ethan was a bit frustrated after school because he wanted a "cool" costume and we couldn't find anything at home. He had thought to be Indiana Jones and Grandpa Oman made him a whip, but he wasn't sure that's what he wanted to be. So after school on Halloween, we booked it to the Party Store to see what we could find. The "Morph" costume was really popular so Ethan wanted one and we were able to get the last one in green. He was pretty happy about it.
Our neighborhood has a tradition of having a big party on Halloween but for the last couple of years someone else has been in charge of it and they have changed it to the Monday before Halloween. A bunch of us missed getting together and having a potluck before the kids went trick-or-treating so we all got together and had soups before the kids headed out. It was a lot smaller than it usually is but there were only a few families who got together. The kids loved it and then they were all ready to go out and get their loot.
When they were finished trick-or-treating they came home to answer the door. They had a lot of fun and got a bunch of candy. They got to pick 10 pieces and then put the rest out for the Halloween Fairy.
Here is what they found the next day (sorry it is sideways):
