Ethan has inherited wide nail beds on his toes. That means that both Bryan and I have wide nail beds so no matter how well Ethan does cutting his toe nails, he will get ingrown nails if we don't get them thinned up. He was resigned to that fact and we figured we should just get it done now and then he won't ever have to mess with them again.
The doctor came into the room and said Ethan looked a lot taller than last time. He is like a weed! Then the doctor examined his toe. He said it needed to be fixed and I asked if he could do both sides at the same time so we would be finished. After examining the non-ingrown side the doctor agreed that it would be best to take care of it all at once. And then the shots began. Ethan knew what to expect but it still took a ton of medicine to deaden up his toe. Then the doctor got to work. It was bloody, gross and kind of loud. But it is all taken care of and Ethan is happy now.
