Today was Courtney's field day and she had a blast! I ran errands and got there just a little late but still in time to see her participate in a bunch of events. She and her friend, Dezi, competed in the three legged race and blew everyone out of the water in their heat! They figured it out pretty quickly and were half a field ahead of everyone else. Unfortunately, they lost their groove when it came to the finals. They fell and it was pretty hilarious but they had a lot of fun.
She also participated in the relay race. Her team did well and they had fun. There weren't enough kids who showed up from the afternoon kindergarten class, so Courtney got to help them out and be on one of their relay teams.
Then Courtney participated in the long jump. By this time the wind was blowing and she was freezing, but she did well. The kids then ate snow cones...and froze...before we took them home.
It was a good intro to field day!
