Rodeo and Parade

The Lion's Club Rodeo was last week.  The rodeo clown and some cowboys usually go around to all the schools drumming up business and getting the kids excited to attend the rodeo.  Last year, Ethan went with his best friend, so we haven't ever been as a family.  It doesn't start until 8 p.m., which is way late for us.

Last Wednesday, the clown and cowboy were at the elementary school and Ethan was chosen to race.  He had to run around barrels, rope a fake cow and ride a bucking bronco.  He won!  So they gave him free tickets to Thursday night's rodeo.  This was Family Night so kids were free with a paying adult and he won 2 adult tickets.  So we decided to try it...we were all free, so why not?!

It seemed to take FOREVER until it was time to go but the rodeo was pretty fun.  We didn't stay awfully long because the kids got tired and...it was free, so we could leave any time without guilt.

Saturday was the Lion's Club Rodeo Children's Parade.  Courtney's dance group is always in the parade and they always ride bikes...except for Courtney who is terrified that someone will crash into her.  So she rides in the truck and cheers.
