Courtney came home last night from dance class with her new costume. It is beautiful and modest (as modest as a tutu can be). She instantly wanted to try it on. At dinner she was telling us about her new dances that we will see next week when she performs. She got up and began singing and dancing to a new song.
Now, to let you really enjoy this I have to tell you that for a past couple of months Courtney has had fluid in her ears so she hasn't been hearing as well as she should. We have been doing medicine to try and clear this up but so far it hasn't helped. The doctor wants us to try the medicine for another 3 weeks and then have her hearing tested. So, sometimes she hears a word completely wrong and her brain picks the closest sounding word that she knows. Sometimes the result can be quite funny.
So, last night she sang this song while holding her stuffed dog which was supposed to be a teddy bear:
"Me and My Teddy Bear
Got no worries got no hair..."
Bryan and I just lost it at that point. I'm sure the line really goes "Got no worries got not CARES" but to her little ears it was "hair."
