The Blue and Gold

We had our Pack's Blue and Gold Banquet on Feb. 28th. It was a lot of fun. I have never been to one before and wasn't sure what it was about. It's just a dinner with awards and games....like a usual Pack Meeting but with food.

The boys in Ethan's den wrote a poem about Obeying Your Parents for one of their Faith in God requirements. Ethan earned his Religious Knot and also his Bear. YEAH!! So it was a fun night.

We had dinner (sandwiches, salads and chips) after the awards. My kids have always said they hate Subway sandwiches...not that they have tried them, mind you, but they are insistent that they don't like them. The dinner was sandwiches from Walmart's bakery. The kids dug into them and LOVED THEM! They couldn't believe that they were foot-long sandwiches cut up like Subway makes. Life is looking up in the food department.

Here are some pictures of the Blue and Gold:
The poem (Ethan wrote the second stanza, of course it's about blowing things up):
